Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms govern your use of wiretohired.com and the services on it, operated by Wire to Hired (operating entity pending). By creating an account or purchasing access you agree to them.
2. What the service is — and is not
This is an independent preparation service. An independent preparation service. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for IBEW, NECA, the Electrical Training Alliance, EEI, any local union, JATC, utility, or testing vendor.
We do not guarantee acceptance into any program, a passing score on any test, any particular rank or list position, an interview, or employment. Scores, readiness bands, and feedback produced here describe your practice with us. They are not predictions and carry no weight with any program or employer.
Nothing here is legal advice, union advice, medical advice, or instruction that substitutes for supervised training or an employer’s safety procedures. Never apply anything from this service to live electrical work.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and at least 18 to purchase access. You must provide accurate account information and you are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Your licence to use the service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service and its content for your own preparation. You may not resell, share, sublicense, republish, scrape, or use the content to train a machine-learning model. Access is tied to one person; credential sharing ends the licence.
5. Payments, access windows, and expiry
- Prices are shown before purchase and charged once. Nothing renews automatically.
- Each paid pass grants access for the number of days stated at purchase, beginning when the payment is confirmed. The exact end date is shown in your account.
- Access is granted by our server on the basis of a verified payment event. Client-side display is never the source of truth for what you have purchased.
- When a pass expires, premium features stop. Your account and your history remain.
- Taxes may be added where applicable.
6. Refunds
If the service does not do what the pricing page described, request a refund within 14 days of purchase and we will issue it in full to the original payment method. A refund ends the entitlement it paid for. Our full process is described in help and refunds. This does not limit any statutory refund or cancellation right you have where you live.
7. Your submissions
You keep ownership of what you write, record, and submit. You grant us a licence to store and process it in order to provide the service — transcription, evaluation, and showing it back to you.
If you submit a candidate report for publication, you additionally grant us a licence to edit, anonymise, and publish it. We will not publish it under your name and we will remove identifying detail before publication.
We do not use your content to train internal or external models. Any future research or training use would require separate, explicit, opt-in consent.
8. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not submit protected, confidential, recalled, or copyrighted examination material, answer keys, screenshots of secure tests, or documents you were told were confidential. See our exam-integrity policy and acceptable use policy. Submissions that appear to contain such material are quarantined and may be reported.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, abuse of the service or its staff, payment fraud, or repeated submission of prohibited material. Where we end paid access for a reason that is not your breach, we refund the unused portion.
You may close your account at any time from account settings.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change. Where a change materially reduces what a live paid pass provides, we will either restore it or refund the unused portion.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent the law allows. Program information is compiled from sources we identify and label; requirements change and only the program itself is authoritative. Always confirm deadlines and requirements with the program before acting.
To the extent the law permits, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
We will post a new version with a new date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email before they take effect. The version in force when you purchased governs that purchase.
13. Contact and disputes
Contact support@wiretohired.com first — most disputes resolve there. Governing law, venue, and any dispute-resolution mechanism are to be set by counsel before launch and are intentionally left open in this draft.
